We spent an hour and a half speaking to people in Walton high street yesterday morning and met some local people who felt disillusioned with the way our country is currently being run and believe we deserve an alternative. Thank you to all who came along!
Lana Hylands, our Parliamentary Candidate for Esher and Walton, plus her dedicated agent Irene Threlkeld, led the way as we knocked on doors to introduce ourselves to supporters (some), non-supporters (one or two), and floating voters (a few).
We now have only three weeks to get Labour’s message across to the millions of voters across the country and we need your help.

Meet your local Walton and Hersham Labour Party Candidates.
Ordinary people like you and me have paid hard-earned money all their working lives for the care they and their families have come to depend on.
Hi, I’m Dan. Welcome to the new newsletter from your local Labour Party. This will be the first of what we hope will be a regular feature of communications for Walton and Hersham residents. We will tell you what we have been doing, comment on local issues and explain our position on topical matters. Please visit our website for more information. We’d love to hear from you. A Conservative Government cutting the budget of a solidly Conservative Council suggests to me that Philip Hammond, Chancellor of the Exchequer and a Surrey MP, either has no faith in his own council, or they are playing games of some sort – at residents’ expense.
Tory @SCCLeader David Hodge said on Channel 4 news last week that he won't make more cuts in social care because he has a responsibility to his constituents to supply it.
