Walton & Hersham Labour Party members joined Jeremy Corbyn on the Climate, Jobs and Justice march in Central London today (29/11/2015).
Daniel Ewen, Vice-Chair, telephoned from the march to explain how the event was a fun, peaceful, march involving over 50,000 people of all ages. He also highlighted how in a democracy, freedom to protest is an essential ingredient. He compared how the people of the UK are free to march today, while in Paris the march has been cancelled due to the state of emergency following the terror attacks.
Indeed, as the below photo shows, democracy has been suspended in France. The result is that people have displayed their shoes of peaceful protesters, thereby signifying their support for those who are demanding climate change, jobs, and justice, around the world.
